Little Athletics is a uniquely Australian modified athletics program for children from 5 to 16 years (some Assocations may offer age groups outside this range) - with around 100,000 Little Athletes participating at almost 500 centres across the country.

Little Athletics promotes that it is important to "Be your Best" ®The emphasis is on fun, participation, performance, technique and getting involved with your family in physical and healthy activity. The motto of Little Athletics is 'Family, Fun and Fitness".

To help children of all abilities develop by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family and community involvement in athletics activities.


You and your family are about to embark on a new experience, one that you can enjoy together. Little Athletics is not just a sport but an exciting activity that involves every member of the family.

Who can participate?

Both Boys and Girls.

Age groups range from Under 6 years through until Under 15 years.

Children must always be accompanied by a Parent/Adult Guardian for the duration of competition and adults are encouraged to provide assistance to the events.  If unsure how to help, then please speak to any committee member.

What to bring on Saturdays?

Uniform, running shoes, hat, sunscreen and water.

Registration Number

A registration number is provided and we request that you wear it on your shirt to assist group managers and officials.

Athletes MUST be supervised at all times. If it is not possible for you to be in attendance with your children, you are required to arrange for another adult to be responsible for them. Please do not drop your child off without making prior arrangements for their care. Echuca Moama Little Athletics Centre will not be responsible for children left at the ground after the completion of the program, or unsupervised children during the morning’s competition.

Approximately 40 parents are needed to volunteer each competition  day to enable the centre to run the programs.
